What Happened in Bali - The Silly and Beautiful Faces of Youth

  The TV show **《What Happened in Bali》** aired on SBS in 2004 was fresh and shocking.

  The main characters are four young men and women.
Choi Young-joo, who was dating Kang In-wook, a smart but poor guy, eventually chooses to marry the wealthy Jung Jae-min for strategic reasons. Jung Jae-min is shocked to learn about their relationship, but he starts dating Lee Soo-jung, and Kang In-wook also falls for her.
  Lee Soo-jung feels confused, but when Kang In-wook steals money from Jae-min's company and runs away, she follows him. They head to Bali, which they consider the last paradise on earth.  However, an angry Jung Jae-min chases after them, and they have nowhere left to run.

  The ending was a surprising twist that was rare in Korean dramas at the time.
  It completely flips the Cinderella story and calmly and coldly reveals the relationship between class and desire.  Even though it's a romance with handsome and charming actors, the reason it still lingers 20 years later is because of that final scene.
 

  In the face of the setting sun, I saw the face of youth in Jung Jae-min's expression of not knowing what to do.  A foolish time when you do bad things and can't handle the consequences.  Youth was an incomplete and precarious time, but it was beautiful.  Jo In-sung, who played Jung Jae-min, became a star through this work.  The embodiment of youth.
